Baja California - February 2009

I recently visited Baja California with Preston Ames, Jeff Nelson, and Jim Glover. It was my first time traveling to Mexico so I was open to the new experience. Specifically we visited, Cabo San Lucas, El Pescadaro, and a property outside La Paz. The weather was warm, but it was refreshing to walk amongst Banana, Coconut, Mango, & Papaya trees and fully embrace the beauty of the natural scenery such as the 30+ ft. tall cacti. Every time we visit the ocean, whales were just off shore and when floating in the water you could hear them sing to one another.

Montaña de Oro

Last week Jeff, Kelly, Nate, and I visited Montana de Oro, which is a State Park located in Morro Bay, California.

Rattlesnake Canyon Hike

I recently went on a hike up the Rattlesnake Canyon Trail which is located about ten minutes from the Botanical Gardens of Santa Barbara. The flowers and other plants are really lush right now and I strongly suggest taking the time to enjoy the beautiful life within as well as around us. We were near a creek nearly the entire time, when we reached a nice location with some large boulders and a decently sized pool we decided to stop an have lunch. This is also a perfect time to meditate or at the very least take the time to appreciate ones life. The water is very refreshing especially after a nice hike and the over all experience of hiking is one that I have gained thorough interest. If anyone has any trails, or other hiking suggestions please let me know.
