Keeping a healthy instestinal tract & stomach is essential for maintaining optimal health. The stomach and intestines are responsible for breaking down and absorbing all of the food we've ever eaten. Think of ones intestines as a series of pipes, over time debris and plaque can accumulate on the inner wall of your intestinal tract. According to my research, its usually the least healthy foods which find it easier to accumulate within your intestines. Some of those foods include Fast Food, Processed Junk, and all of those things you ate and wish you hadn't.
Yellow Squash Soup
Submitted by Charles Clayton on September 30, 2008 - 3:10pmI love soup, I will be making many varieties in the future because they are so delicious, easy, and healthy. Being such a wide variety there is always a soup for the season. In this case, I prepared a Yellow Squash Soup which is definitely an Autumn soup in my opinion : ) I modified this recipe from a few Squash Soup recipes I've come across, I prefer a soup with a deep flavor and I made the adjustments to fit my preference. As with any soup, it is very simple to adjust the flavor according to your preference, if you want a lighter flavor use less herbs, salt, and wine.
Easy and Delicious Pasta
Submitted by Charles Clayton on August 17, 2008 - 4:11pmPasta is one of the simplest foods to make- aside from actually making the pasta and the sauce : ) In this entry I'll cover the necessary steps to make a delicious pasta. This recipe is not specific in the sense that I suggest that you change the recipe to suit your preferences, as this is the beauty of cooking. For me, cooking is all about experimentation, trying new things, revising recipes and tweaking them to my preference. With pasta there are many options and variables to consider when preparing.
Make your own Nori Rolls!
Submitted by Charles Clayton on July 18, 2008 - 6:37pmI really enjoy well made rolls that incorporate fresh and tasty ingredients. Making your own rolls is easy to do, and you can make many at once and save them for a quick and tasty lunch. This recipe is also extremely easy to change and add your favorite ingredients. I suggest using a bamboo sushi mat to assist with rolling, they are found at any Japanese market and cost only a dollar.
Directions:
- Cook rice on low heat with water line roughly 1 cm above rice, keep lid on for entire cooking time, the idea is to cook the rice with moisture, not boiling water.
