What is the Selective Service System, and how does it affect me?

The Selective Service Act of 1917 created a condition in which the US Government can Conscript or "Draft" individuals for Military Service currently ranging between males 18 - 45.

Since its inception the Selective Service System - or the SSS as I will refer to, has drafted individuals for war despite their beliefs, morals, or choice.

This short, yet powerful documentary titled Overview of America discusses the various forms of government, and how they effect our world. It features five main genres, ranging from Monarchy, Oligarchy, Democracy, Republic, and Anarchy. Each genre is explained and examples are made to provide a more clear understanding. This film also looks into past cultures in order to recognize how their form of government impacted society. I found this film to be very informative and educational, and I feel that people should take interest into such important and relevant matters to their life.
